We will be hosting a “meet and greet” with Peter Shurman the PC candidate for Thornhill in the October 10, 2007 provincial election. Please come out and bring a friend to meet Peter and discuss issues of concern. The PC platform – “Plan for the Future” as displayed on www.ontariopc.com references proposed changes in the funding of faith based schools. We have a once in a generation opportunity for inclusive funding of Hebrew day school education. In the last election the candidate advocating funding for faith based schools lost by only 796 votes – let us not stand by when we can make a difference to our community and to our children in such a positive meaningful way! Now is the time – in the words of the great sage Hillel – if not now, then when?
